This adventure goes beyond just personal excitement though. It’s a mission to raise funds and awareness for Friends of Table Mountain, an organisation dedicated to the safety and upkeep of the Table Mountain trails.
“I’ve spent a significant amount of hours training and playing on the Table Mountain trails and they hold many great memories and experiences and I want to do my part in ensuring that they are safe and well maintained for many generations of mountain lovers to come.” says Iain.
Their fundraising goals?
“Our aim is to raise R28,470, a mere R20 per km cycled, to support Friends of Table Mountain in their crucial work. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a significant difference.”
If you would like to get involved, you can donate to their cause, share their journey with friends and fellow adventure lovers, stop to share a cold drink if you pass them along the way or pop them an inspiring message via their socials.
“Lastly, we want to give a massive shoutout to our partners: Gone. Outdoor, Sling Cycles and Stance Socks. We are incredibly grateful for your support in making this journey possible and contributing to the preservation of these beloved trails.”
Keep an eye on our social pages for regular updates, track their progress below, and of course, look out for the Tagati PINION webpage due to be launched soon once final testing has commenced.
